Person-hood For Corporations Must
be ChangedFebruary 4,
2011
The “Citizens United vs Federal
Election Commission” decision last January, gave corporation the right to
free speech. It made corporations the same as people under the U.S.
Constitution and this is clearly not what “The Founders” intended. However,
the activist and conservative Supreme Court catered to the needs of
corporations and in doing so, lessened the protections for all real persons
living in the United States.
A person has a conscience,
beliefs and thoughts, a corporation does not. A corporation is unfeeling and
only owes allegiance to stockholders or owners. It can reproduce, make
subsets of itself that are equally irresponsible.
A person can be made responsible for their actions. A corporation cannot.
For example a corporation cannot be brought to justice by being jailed or
executed for crimes. Its corporate offices are generally immune and are
rarely prosecuted.
What we have now is corporate socialism masquerading as democracy.
