John Ensign a Republican Senator for Nevada recently said he would not run for re-election next year, claiming it would be too much for his family to bear. Unfortunately, he never said it would be too much for Nevada and the Republican party to bear if he did run.

Ensign has been under siege since he admitted an extramarital affair in June 2009. Since then, he has been under investigation by two federal agencies, Justice Department and the Federal Election Commission and is now being subjected to a Senate ethics investigation. Despite this, he claimed he really wanted to run and believed that god had forgiven him.

What makes Ensign so annoying is that he is a self-righteous Christian hypocrite who proclaimed family values and Christian principles all the while having an affair. He gave jobs to his mistress, his mistress' husband and also gave the mistress' family hush money. Through all this he really did not see this as wrong, just a personal mistake.

John Ensign needs to resign and go away. Now!
