The infamous and America's worst Sheriff, Joe Arpaio a Republican from Arizona failed to properly investigate more than 400 alleged sex crimes from 2005 through October 2007, including dozens of child molestations, sometimes involving children as young as two years old. Some cases were never worked at all and most appear to involve undocumented aliens (illegals). Many of those affected have left town, and evidence has gone cold or never collected. Reports and routine investigative procedures were not followed so most cases will languish forever.

All this happened in the City of El Mirage, which had dysfunctional police department. Until the city could get their police department under control, they paid Joe Arpaio $2.7 million for police services. After Arpaio's people left in 2007, the City started to reconstruct a new police department, it found a shocking lack of policing by Arpaio and his employees. The files they reviewed after Arpaio's contract expired proved there was a lack of basic policing.

Of course, Arpaio always has something to say if it's about himself and how he likes to kick illegals' asses but on this, he has said little and even declined to provide an internal affairs report about this mess, claiming disciplinary issues.

Arpaio needs some heavy discipline, including being run out of office and allowing the parents of molested kids to do some ass kicking on him. That would be a little justice well served. Further, the officers who failed to do their jobs should have the same punishment as ol' Joe and some jail time as well.

To those who would say or imply that the kids, and their parents were just illegals not worthy of respect and police protection must be sick-in-the-head and possibly pedophiles themselves for thinking that. Every child must be protected from predators, including pedophiles.
