Tea Parties Are About White
RacismJanuary 4, 2010
Though some tea-party attendees
are fervently committed and genuinely believe their cause is just, they have
little idea about how their movement has been secretly co-opted by others.
The modern movement was started and supported by Republicans and their party
such as Dick Armey, Freedom Works, Americans for Prosperity, Koch
Foundations and The Federalist Society. That's why it is called the
astro-turf movement countering the lie that is a populist or grassroots
reaction.
More insidiously, the movement is
now fertile ground for white supremacists who see a group of mainly white
people complaining about a government with a black man as its head. The
racist signs held high during rallies help define participants as racists
which in turn, attracts white nationalists. White supremacists get it and
see their own kind at tea parties.
The "Storm Front" member forum
website devoted to white supremacy or white nationalism (WN) is very
interested in tea-parties and have been quietly participating in them to
whip up their brand of righteous indignation against a government they hate.
It's not about taxes but race.
They are using tea party events
as recruiting venues and believe the movement is the start of a white
nationalist uprising. This is what the "Storm Front" has to say about that:
Ladies and
gentlemen, I think every WN needs to not only attend the April 15th Tea
Party nearest you (I'm going to the Alamo in San Antonio) but then stay
involved and help provide leadership to this movement.
I believe that this is
the white revolution we've been waiting for.
It doesn't look what we expected but this is it.
I've seen probably 50 videos on TV showing previous marches and what strikes
me is that the participants are all WHITE.
It stands to reason . . . we're the ones being taxed to support Affirmative
Action, Welfare and other worthless social programs. It's our tax dollars
going to ACORN and supporting the 12 million illegals swarming into our
neighborhoods.
For the first time, white people (a.k.a. the lemmings) are finally awake and
taking to the streets.
Right now the movement is about taxes . . . but with leadership and guidance
we can help turn this movement into a lot more.
So turn off the computer. Take off the red
laces and fold your jeans over your Doc Martins. Hang the storm trooper
uniform in the closet. Take off the robe. Reverently fold your Confederate
flag and put it away for now.
Become one of them.
Join the marches and help organize future events in your neighborhood. Go
slow . . . don't hit people with WN philosophy all at once.
Become a leader and a teacher. Show them the relationship between what they
want and what we want. You can help convince the people you meet that even
though they themselves don't see it yet, a return to white values and a
white nation is the answer to what troubles them.
Remember . . . we don't need to convince 100% of the people. We just need to
wake up a good number of them and momentum will do the rest.

The original tea party movement
in the 1770's was a reaction to the lifting of tea taxes to help the East
India Tea Company which was going bankrupt. No taxes meant their tea was
much less expensive and this undercut local tea merchants. This did not sit
well with those merchants nor with the black market tea profiteers who
supplied them with tea. So, it wasn't about too high taxes like people
think, but profits. Now it is evolving into a movement about white supremacy
with high taxes as a cover.
Most telling in all this is that
new century tea party members weren't concerned about enormous government
spending until Obama was president.
Between 2000 through 2006
Republicans committed trillions of dollars to tax cuts for the wealthy, the
wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the war on terror in general and Medicare Part
D which was a multi-billion dollar give away for drug companies. And let's
not forget Bush's bailout program for the some of the richest banks and
investment companies in 2008.
There was no criticism of a white
controlled government that spent their money lavishly on the elite and for
war. Only now is there outrageous criticism when a black man is president.
With such ignorance and
dysfunction within the modern tea party movement, it is no wonder white
nationalists see it as something they can embrace and hope to control one
day. They have a very good start too.
