Pastor Jones'
Consequences for Being Un-Christian
September 10, 2010
“Pride
goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”
This is from the King James version of the Bible in
Proverbs 16:18 and is a warning to Christians that they are not to be
prideful or haughty in spirit when they do something or there will be
consequences.
This applies to pastor
Jones, who leads a small congregation in Gainesville, Florida called the
“Dove World Outreach Center”.
Now Jones says he won't burn Qur’ans tomorrow and is now talking to people
about the New York Muslim center planned for New York as if the original
self serving intent of burning Qur’ans was in response to that center.
For liars, the story and rationalizations change all the time.
The consequences for Jones' action have not yet happened. He and his
entire congregation will eventually suffer for their haughtiness and pride.
For the public, the repercussions will point out the falseness of their
“Christian” doctrines. People will know they are on the wrong religious path
like Al Queda.
Right now, Jones doesn't see this and is ignorant of his sins. He is like
Bin Laden who thinks his religion compels him to kill Americans. In spirit,
Jones is no different than Bin Laden.
