A recent e-mail criticizing Bill Clinton and liberal America for the Ft. Hood shooting has been making the rounds. It says Clinton was responsible for a law which disallowed weapons on the base. Since the law was signed by Clinton in 1993 he is to blame for the murders. It also blames Obama for continuing that law so he is also responsible.

Curiously, there is no mention of Bush's failure to rescind such a law especially after 9/11. It seems if he did know of it and did not rescind it, his actions would have been treasonous and un-American.

The terrorist who killed at Ft Hood was an extremist and so were those who attacked us on 9/11 which happened during Bush's watch. It was a time when the conservative Republicans were in absolute power in Congress and they did nothing to rescind Clinton's disarmament law.

This e-mail is the same type of obfuscation right wingers like to use when talking about how Clinton reduced he size of the military. Well, if it was that important, then why didn't Bush and the Republicans increase it after 2000 or before the Iraq War?

It seems the Bush Administration was being politically correct (PC) about the shooter at Ft. Hood. They knew or should have known that he was an extremist starting in 2007 when he publicly announced that he was a disgruntled Muslim angry at America and the Iraq War.

There are also several other items which need to be corrected:

Ft. Hood is 340 square miles in size, not 340 acres.

The population is between 25,000 and 30,000, not the 50 thousand mentioned.

Bill Clinton did not sign "Army Regulation 190–14" because it was not a law or executive order needing his signature. It was signed by Gordon R. Sullivan, General of the Army, Chief of Staff.

The rule applied to all Army installations, not just Ft. Hood.

Wonder why Clinton and Obama haters keep lying about things that can be easily researched. Could it be that they only have lies for "credibility" and count on other to be ignorant and possibly stupid?

But then, that's the way it is in brain dead conservative America!

Israel on Fort Hood 

Israelis Baffled by News of Defenseless US Soldiers 

Many Israelis want to know: why didn't the soldiers attacked by a U.S. Army major-turned-terrorist return fire? 

When a Muslim goes, well, Muslim in Israel he is typically shot to death by someone--say, a reserve soldier--within seconds of screaming "Allah Akbar." 

In contrast with the Israeli experience, it took 10 minutes before a civilian police officer at  Fort Hood was able to shoot and stop Muslim fanatic Nidal Malik Hasan. 

How could that happen? How could so many people trained in the strategies and tactics of modern warfare be so defenseless? 

The answer--and this may astonish many Americans--is that the victims were unarmed. U.S. soldiers are not allowed to carry guns for personal protection, even on a 340-acre base quartering more than 50,000 troops. 

So it goes in brain-dead, liberal America .

Contrary to President Obama's crocodile tears, his administration is bent on further disarming the U.S. military, and all Americans. Obama and his people will not rest until every American is a sitting duck.. 

POSTscript: Israeli teachers, from kindergarten on up, are also armed; so, a Virginia Tech-type slaughter is highly unlikely at an Israeli university. 

Israelis, who have had to combat terrorism all their lives, are not afraid of guns. They are an armed people, ready, willing, and able to defend themselves and their country. 

Unlike indoctrinated Americans, paralyzed by fear and political correctness, Israelis understand that people, not guns, kill people.
