Conservative radio show host Doc Thompson was filling in for Glenn Beck today and during the program he showed what a blatant racist he is by saying the tanning salon tax only affects whites and is therefore racist. He also implies that Obama was racist for signing the legislation into law.

What is most galling is his last statement: “Well now I feel the pain of racism.”

Oh really? The “pain of racism” has been largely ignored and never felt by whites for hundreds of years and nothing has changed in 2010.

The true “pain of racism” is out right rejection of non-whites as human beings with scorn and derision 24/7. In every interaction a black or any non-white person takes and for their entire lives they live the “pain of racism”. It affects them so much that black children like white faces more than brown ones and yearn to be white and accepted. There are few white Americans, including Thompson who would trade places with a black person even for lots of money.

This is how Thompson showed his true and ugly face about race:

“For years I've suggested that racism was in decline and yeah, there are some, you know, incidents that still happen with regards to racism, but most of the claims I've said for years, well, they're not really real. But I realize now that I was wrong. For I now too feel the pain of racism. Racism has been dropped at my front door and the front door of all lighter-skinned Americans. The health care bill the president just singed into law includes a 10 percent tax on all indoor tanning sessions starting July 1st, and I say, who uses tanning? Is it dark-skinned people? I don't think so. I would guess that most tanning sessions are from light-skinned Americans. Why would the President of the United States of America -- a man who says he understands racism, a man who has been confronted with racism -- why would he sign such a racist law? Why would he agree to do that? Well now I feel the pain of racism. “

We can hope that Thompson's skin changes color so he can feel the true pain of racism or better yet, he can get some tanning time in for some “pain of melanoma”.
