Glenn Beck is a millionaire because he is a very good entertainer, using politics, fear and a large dose of crazy to make wild accusations and threats. His audience loves it because they too are wackos and if someone on TV says it like they think, it validates their position. Beck and his audiences need each other.

But mainly he needs them to make more money from his shows, books and trinkets. Too bad some brains don't come with any of this.

Millions think he is an expert on politics and United States history but nothing could be farther from the truth. He says things that are patently false, historically inaccurate and makes connections with things that make no sense but he gets away with it. Why? His audience doesn't care because they are like him and the stations and advertisers just want to make money with Beck.

Ignorance is bliss.

This is what Beck said about politics:

“With a deadpan, Beck insists that he is not political: "I could give a flying crap about the political process."

He certainly does not give a crap about truth and honesty. It's unfortunate that his followers do not understand that their leader does not give a crap about them either.

What sums him up is what he said about his business enterprise:

"We're an entertainment company."

Unfortunately his followers don't understand what he is really about. The phrase, “A fool, and his money are soon parted” comes to mind.
