Palin gave a speech in Wisconsin recently to the Wisconsin Right to Life banquet. Though the banquet would not allow the press or people with cell phones, cameras or laptops, a few speech nuggets were retrieved however.

One, was her statement that our Presidential dollar coins no longer have the “In God We Trust” motto on the face of the coin. She said:

“Who calls a shot like that? Who makes a decision like that?

An ended with, “It’s a disturbing trend”

By saying this, she implied that Obama was doing nefarious and secularly bad things to our coins. The disturbing trend is Palin herself.

The secular evil doers here are Republicans and not Obama.

The ignorant one – again - is Palin.

This may play well to her supporters but it won’t wash even for Fox "News" which "fact checked" her and told the truth about this "conspiracy" on November 10^th. (Certainly a date to remember!)

Congress soon reversed the decision with the introduction of a bill by Senators Sam Brownback (R-KS) and Robert Byrd (D-WV) in late 2007. Brownback said. “We should not relegate our heritage to the side.”  http://www.bpnews.net/BPnews.asp?ID=27098

Too bad we can regulate Palin to the side of our political heritage.
