Obama Is Black
and They Hate Him for It
September 13, 2009
For centuries,
blacks were slaves and considered sub-human. They were mere property to use
and sometimes abuse and their masters were mostly white though other races
owned slaves if they had the wealth to do so.
The idea that a
black man could and has become president is contrary to white culture,
especially in the South and in the Republican party. There are racists
everywhere in all races and political parties and most keep it to themselves
but now we have a segment of the Republican Party that sees no reason to
keep quiet. They see a black President as a threat to the nation and to them
personally. The result has been many racists comments in the form of
speeches, shout outs and emails.
A few examples will
demonstrate this:
Jean Schmidt, a
Republican Representative from Ohio admits she is a "birther", a person who
will not believe Obama was born in the United States and so it not
legitimate. They seek to neutralize him in this manner.

US Representative Lynn
Jenkins from Kansas who said the Republican Party was looking for a “great
white hope” to fight against Obama and his administration. The Great White
Hope issue started long ago, a reaction to having black boxers beat the hell
out of white ones in the ring.

and who could forget
“Barack the Magic Negro” song by Paul Shanklin and distributed by Chip
Saltsman, Tennessee's GOP Chair.

What Republicans
need to do is embrace their racism, after all they think it’s okay. They
should admit they hate Obama because he is a black and President. They need
to admit they would never vote for a black man for President and do announce
this openly.
This sentiment was
clearly told to me last fall by a white, racist Republican who considers
himself as a “good” Christian: “I'm not voting for no fucking nigger.”
At least he was
brutally honest unlike most Republicans who claim equality but don’t believe
it. They hide behind the veneer of partisan politics and attack any and
every policy, statement or decision he makes not because he is wrong but
because he is black.
