The link takes you to a video showing Congressman John Murtha “destroying democracy” as Republicans have known it. The problem is, the video was taken in August 2007. The video is not current or relevant to health care or cap and trade. In August 2007, the Republicans were trying to pass an appropriations bill barring illegals from getting food stamps. Republicans and their supporters are certainly frantic about national health care and will put up a sliver of history as current fact. This is simply more “lie and scare” tactics to keep their sheep following.

Republicans used the same parliamentary tactics when they were in absolute control a couple years ago. Plus they had many secret meetings excluding the Democrats, an early morning vote on the Patriot Act (1,000 plus pages) a bill few were able to read and no public disclosure about meetings between Bush and conservative news outlets. (These are just a few examples.)

It is hypocritical to criticize Democrats for something Republicans did in the past and then claim moral high ground. But, this is the way it works in D.C. and in e-mails.

A quick Internet search would have revealed the truth. But Republicans believe if  you don’t have the truth on your side then lying is okay…..it’s the same thing.

It seems Republicans don’t understand there is a difference between a lie and the truth, but maybe they do and don’t care.

Now THAT is disgraceful!
