Limbaugh Blames Obama for Michael
Jackson’s Death
November 21, 2009
This
is what Rush Limbaugh the radio entertainer said on July 1, 2009 after
Jackson’s death:
“I
mean he was as weird as he could be, but he was profoundly because of his
weirdness, an individual. He wasn’t a group member. He reached a level of
success that may never be equaled. He flourished under Reagan. He languished
under Clinton and Bush, and died under Obama. Let’s hope the parallel does
not continue.”

Limbaugh’s language shows how much he hates Obama and it lends credibility
to his earlier claim that he wants the President to fail. And not fail in a
few things but in everything. He gets perverse satisfaction in linking
anything bad to Obama.
His
belief that Jackson’s successes and failures were influenced by Presidents
moves beyond the right wing nut realm to Ditto Head crazy. The correlation
between Jackson’s death and Obama as President is intellectually false but
Limbaugh says it anyway. By doing that, he is admitting that what he says on
his radio show is a mixture of lies and facts for entertainment purposes.
The
problem: Most of his listeners believe he is reporting facts and is doing a
news show. They think he has given some thought to what he says.
It is
interesting to note that Rush's rise to fame was during the Clinton
years and his fall into overeating and substance abuse was during Bush's
terms.
Limbaugh logic says Bush is to blame for his addiction to Oxycontin, food
and his nefarious 2006 sex trip to the Dominican Republic with Viagra in
hand.
Or,
it could be that Rush abused Oxycontin because Bush wouldn't share his stash
of cocaine. This makes perfect sense in Limbaugh Land.
