Joe Wilson a Closet Democrat?

Representative Joe Wilson, a Republican from South Carolina shouted, “You lie” on September 9, 2009 after President Obama said "the reforms I am proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally...".

Perhaps he couldn’t handle the truth and lost it.

NOTE: The heath care plan, HR 3200 specifically addresses illegals in Section 246, and it is called, “No Federal Payment for Undocumented Aliens” 

To his credit and under political pressure, Wilson gave an apology soon after and said:

"This evening, I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the President's remarks regarding the coverage of illegal immigrants in the health care bill,"

"While I disagree with the President’s statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the president for this lack of civility."

Wilson’s words were like a ringing bell and he can never take them back. They point out how ludicrous and angry Republicans have become regarding the health plan. It shows how desperate they are to attack Obama and anyone who dares think about a health care plan.

The effect of those two simple words were to focus on Wilson’s need to viciously lie and they pull away support from Republican arguments better than any Democrat could. It shows that Republicans mainly have lies to rely on and are deliberately absent at a honest debate about health care.

Joe Wilson seems to be an intelligent man. Could it be that he is a closet Democrat unwilling to openly support health care for every American like he has in Congress? Did he resort to reverse psychology to help the Democrats?

This could be because what he said will certainly help Obama and his health care plan. Wilson has to be cringing at that!
