Government Observations and Annoyances
September 12, 2009
The U.S.
no longer produces much except cars and agricultural products so we import most
everything including those things! The transition to a service economy has
been going on for decades. The financial sector especially, does not produce
wealth except for a few at the top and it depends on everyone else including
government to make it a success. Kind of like a government.
And as for
attorneys... they are the biggest bunch of service parasites ever and have
been around as long as prostitutes. Like ticks, they attach and suck on our
economy with little positive in return. Bill Shakespeare said centuries ago
that we should kill them all. Unfortunately there is a law against it. I
would trade ten illegals for each attorney and those traded attorneys would
have to leave the US permanently. Now THAT would be a start.
Obama is like
those before him except he is more up front about what he wants. He just
lays it out there and says government is the answer. Dubya increased the
size of government, even more than Clinton did after he said wouldn't. Then
he and the Republicans tried to hide behind
the myth of fiscal responsibility that they claim to have.
The
result....a bigger government that grows each year and at every election, politicians
promise to cut it. And they don't. They are all the same, with the same
bullshit and song and dance.
Incredibly we
believe it their promises and this meets the definition of insanity... doing the same
thing over and over and expecting a different result!
Government is
not the answer to society's woes but it is necessary in a simple form. We
need to follow the Constitution as it exists but court rulings have modified
its application. Attorneys are again the driving force in this political
perversion.
Government's
main responsibilities are to protect its citizens collectively and
individually and to clear the way for commerce.
The people do
not have any power, individually or collectively.... businesses run
everything. There are probably a dozen lobbyists per person in Congress
and that's probably too low. It is they who run the government.
Further, about
10 per cent of the U.S. working population works for a government agency
(federal, state, local) and probably several times that percentage work for
businesses that rely on "the government" for their income. The net effect is
that "the government" has a BIG influence.
Big companies
like insurance, drugs and banking are the biggest service whores after
lawyers. They talk out of both sides of their mouths... demanding no more
big government or regulation and low taxes and at the same time take government
money for their services and now bail outs. And... the politicians who
supported them while in office end up working for them after they leave!
Crap! When will
it end? Probably never!
It has been
going on since before we were a country. That's how the original
colonies were established... companies were set up to create a colony in
America with profits sent back to England. Of course the King got a cut.
It's good to be
the King!
