Ever the Republican Boy Scout

On October 26th,
Roland Corning a former Republican state legislator and a Deputy Assistant
Attorney-General was caught with an 18 year old stripper at a cemetery in
his SUV in Columbia, South Carolina.
He tried to flee after
he noticed a cop was passing by and appeared curious as to what was going
on. After he was stopped, the officer filed his report and a newspaper
reported this:
“He
then searched the SUV, where he found a Viagra pill and several sex toys,
items Mr Corning said he always kept with him, “just in case”, according to
the report.”

The fact this happened to yet
another Republican is not surprising especially for South Carolina. Look at
their governor, Mark Sanford who claimed he was walking the Appalachian
Trail this past June but was really with his mistress and "soul mate" in
Argentina.
What is great about this story is
that Corning said he keeps his sex toys and Viagra with him, “just in case”.
Incredible, he must still be a Boy Scout, always prepared for what might
happen except for getting fired a couple hours later.
Maybe he could challenge his
dismissal because he was on his lunch break and not on government time. He
could claim this was a simple lapse of judgment ... it could happen to
anyone and he won't do it again. As a plus, he was not charged with a crime
…. so he could whine that everyone is just picking on him for being a moral
man and a Republican.
