E-mail Comparing Obama to Hitler

The e-mail is basically just more conservative right wing nonsense. It takes some facts and twists them around to make it sound like Obama is like Hitler. Oh please.

Under Hitler, Germans finally had some pride and jobs. And speaking about protecting the downtrodden citizen like the Jews? You have got to be kidding. He always said he hated Jews and said that over and over.

And Mein Kampf (My Struggle) the autobiography? It wasn’t a simple daddy left and I was lonely story. It was a political manifesto written in prison and was two volumes! Millions of copies were sold or distributed, every newlywed and soldier got a copy after he took over. He did not make his views secret before he took over the government. That wasn’t his style.

Oh yeah, he never bashed his own country. He bashed everyone one else to build up his country.

He was a Catholic from age 15 or so to the day he died. No other religion.

Here are some additional facts that will give a better perspective regarding the historical and factual accuracy claimed in the original e-mail (at the end of this article):

He was illegitimate. He does have a birth certificate but the paternity is not listed. The certificate not in dispute relative whether one existed. Some say his bio-father was Jewish. Not listing the paternity was not something Hitler did, but his mom and it wasn’t unusual because being a Jew meant you were despised and outcast from the start.

Hitler’s dad actually had a big part in his life. He wanted him to go to regular school but he wanted to be an artist. He rebelled like so many kids.

His father died early in his life in 1903 when Hitler was about 14. This caused him to get wild and dysfunctional. He became more political (he was political from a very early age) and was expelled from school.

His mother died at age 47 of breast cancer. Until she died, she supported Hitler financially because he was a failure at getting into art school and other endeavors. Hitler was about 17 at the time. He inherited some money and an aunt supported him.

He was confirmed as a Catholic at age 15 or so. He didn’t practice any other faith. He always said he was a Christian much to the horror of others, even now.

Hitler lived and worked among the lower caste because he was lower caste. He even ended up in a poor house for working men. He was basically destitute. He never disguised himself as anything but an angry anti-Semite.

He served Germany honorably in WWI and was wounded and awarded for his actions. But he really began to hate Jews after that. He was political since his teens and really got going in the 1920s.

Mein Kampf is not about his struggles growing up and how he daddy abused him or whatever. He had a couple chapters about his early life, that’s all. It was an outline for what he was going to do politically, it was viscously anti-Semitic and written while he was in prison. It is two volumes and attacks Jews and Communists. It is a political theory piece not a simple auto-biography.

Hitler never once supported Jews and never pretended to do so. He blamed them for everything and said so.

Hitler hated how the allies, which won WWI, treated Germany and he bashed them because they were keeping the Germans poor due to reparations. He never bashed his country. He did the opposite. He made Germans feel special and superior. It worked.

Hitler never believed people should get anything for free. He believed work was the answer. He created full employment by creating a war machine. He never pretended he had a good plan because he really did.

He stopped making reparations to the Allies and built up the military contrary to the armistice terms. This was psychologically and economically important for his people. He got inflation under control which was thousands of percent a year.

He maintained a government health care system he inherited because he understood a healthy population was a benefit to the country. The health care system was in 1883, years before he was born.

He did not blame banks and corporations for Germany’s problems. He needed them and they needed him. He always blamed Jews who ran the banks and corporations. Those, he didn’t need.

I was born in one country, raised in another. My father was born in another country. I was not his only child. He fathered several children with numerous women.

I became very close to my mother, as my father showed no interest in me. My mother died at an early age from cancer.

Later in life, questions arose over my real name.

My birth records were sketchy and no one was able to produce a legitimate, reliable birth certificate.

I grew up practicing one faith but converted to Christianity, as it was widely accepted in my country, but I practiced non-traditional beliefs & didn’t follow Christianity, except in the public eye under scrutiny.

I worked and lived among lower-class people as a young adult, disguising myself as someone who really cared about them.

That was before I decided it was time to get serious about my life and I embarked on a new career.

I wrote a book about my struggles growing up. It was clear to those who read my memoirs that I had difficulties accepting that my father abandoned me as a child.

I became active in local politics in my 30's then with help behind the scenes, I literally burst onto the scene as a candidate for national office in my 40s. They said I had a golden tongue and could talk anyone into anything. That reinforced my conceit.

I had a virtually non-existent resume, little work history, and no experience in leading a single organization. Yet I was a powerful speaker and citizens were drawn to me as though I were a magnet and they were small roofing tacks.

I drew incredibly large crowds during my public appearances. This bolstered my ego.

At first, my political campaign focused on my country’s foreign policy.. I was very critical of my country in the last war and seized every opportunity to bash my country..

But what launched my rise to national prominence were my views on the country’s economy. I pretended to have a really good plan on how we could do better and every poor person would be fed & housed for free.

I knew which group was responsible for getting us into this mess.. It was the free market, banks & corporations. I decided to start making citizens hate them and if they were envious of others who did well, the plan was clinched tight.

I called mine “A People’s Campaign” and that sounded good to all people.

I was the surprise candidate because I emerged from outside the traditional path of politics & was able to gain widespread popular support.

I knew that, if I merely offered the people ‘hope’, together we could change our country and the world.

So, I started to make my speeches sound like they were on behalf of the downtrodden, poor, ignorant to include “persecuted minorities” like the Jews. My true views were not widely known & I needed to keep them unknown, until after I became my nation’s leader.

I had to carefully guard reality, as anybody could have easily found out what I really believed, if they had simply read my writings and examined those people I associated with.

I’m glad they didn’t. Then I became the most powerful man in the world. And the world learned the truth.
