Why Obama Will Not Win
July 31, 2008
Senator Obama has many faults unrelated to his race
though talking to his supporters you would think otherwise. Earlier this
year his supporters played the race card by saying white males voting for
Hillary in the primary did so because they were racist, forgetting that many
supported Hillary before there was an Obama candidate. In doing this, they
dismissed as irrelevant, older white males who vote.
Senator Obama has had very little on the job experience.
He spent just over 140 days before deciding to run for President. That is
very little time in a complicated world, where experience does count.
Further, during his time in the Senate, the only thing he can proudly say he
did was to initially vote against the Iraq War. He always forgets to mention
he voted for everything else Bush and the Republicans wanted.
Obama touts his grass root support. Certainly he is very
popular with the regular folk and they have donated millions to his
campaign. Obama has enlisted an impressive group of supporters and employs
many in his campaign. However this will not translate to the ballot box.
Most of his supporters are under 50, the very group that consistently
promises to vote and but does not. Though willing to donate $10 here and $50
there they will not go to their polling place on Election Day they because
they are too busy or it might rain.
Obama speeches are very good and they have inspired
millions to his cause. Again, this will not result in votes. He speaks in
generalities. Just saying you will do something means nothing; you have to
lay it out from start to finish with enough detail to make voters confident
you know what you are doing. He hasn’t done this because he can’t.
Fundamentally people want change, they always do. Being
tired of the current administration is a strong force for Obama but in the
end, people must have confidence he can actually do the job and has plans
ready at the start of his term. He doesn’t.
His ability to lead the nation is seriously in doubt.
People know it. He also needs to remember those “racist” white males have
good memories and usually vote.
It is not about his race but his ability.
