Why John McCain Will
Win
February 13, 2008
The Republicans and John McCain will win in the fall by
supporting a democratic candidate who cannot win. That would be Barack
Obama. Obama would be fine as President but is not capable of winning an
election to become President.
Sure, Obama can speak well, get crowds to gather and
cheer. He even gets his fans to donate millions to his campaign. The more
Obama gets in positive political capital the more likely he is to get the
Democratic Party’s nomination. The Republicans want him to. They know Obama
is no match for their attacks even if he sees them coming, which he probably
does not.
On the other hand, Republicans fear Hillary Clinton. She
knows their game and has been politically and personally assaulted by the
Republican attack machine for over 16 years. She has emerged as a strong
opponent and a very good U.S. senator. Whatever they can throw at her,
another scandal, some “swift boating” or more lies it will barely faze her.
She will win in the end. This makes Republicans afraid.
The way to defeat Hillary is to prevent her nomination in
the first place with Obama.
Obama is the perfect candidate to defeat. He is untried,
with few concrete ideas and most of all he is politically untested. He did
not have to work very hard to become a Senator so he doesn’t understand what
Hillary has been through and why she is so strong and feared.
Recently, Obama bitterly complained the Clintons were
unfairly criticizing him. He did not realize he was defining his political
weakness with how he reacted to their criticism. If he could not handle two
Clinton attacks, then what will he do when the attacks come from all sides
of the Republican Party? Not much.
Republicans are assuredly ecstatic. They are likely
donating to his campaign and voting for him at caucuses to ensure a McCain
win this fall.
