Mike Huckabee – A Liar Who Protected a Rapist-Murderer

Soon after Mike Huckabee became governor of Arkansas, he announced he was going to grant Wayne DuMond clemency but backed off after complaints.  So, he pressured the Parole Board to release him, despite DuMond’s history which included a murder in 1972 and multiple rapes and assaults in the 1970’s.

Huckabee’s decision to protect a murder-rapist was based on perverted Christian principles and nasty Republican politics. You see, the 17 year old girl DuMond raped in 1984 and for which he was properly imprisoned, was a cousin of Bill Clinton and a daughter of a campaign contributor. After Clinton refused to grant clemency in 1991, the evil within the Baptist community and the Republican party was unleashed. They demanded DuMond’s release because he was innocent and a Clinton political prisoner.

Before DuMond's release, Huckabee received letters from previous victims who pleaded with him to not release the man. They said he would rape again and possibly murder the next time.  They were right.

Unfortunately, after DuMond’s release in September 1999 he raped and murdered two women. His last victim was pregnant. After those crimes, Huckabee said he could not be expected to know what DuMond would do after his release. It wasn’t his fault.

Incredibly he never heard that past behavior predicts future behavior.

To this day Huckabee refuses to admit any wrong doing and also denies he got any letters. He said the Parole Board made the decision, not him. This sounds like a criminal not willing to face the reality of his actions and admit to their crimes.

Though Huckabee says different, he does not regret the loss of the murdered women’s lives or an unborn baby. They were merely pawns in his perverted political game which continues today. Huckabee wants to forget them because they show the evil of his Baptist minister's soul.

Christians and Republicans want to forget, but let us remember the victims of DuMond and Huckabee:
