Lies of the Pro-Iraq
War Despots in America
March 22, 2007
We deposed Saddam and his government but we did it
without immediate provocation. It is hubris and un-Constitutional to use
American war powers without a military justification. Saddam was not a
military threat and even the Bush administration said in 2001 that Saddam
was contained and not a problem until it decided to invade and supported its
position with lies and fear.
It is no doubt that Saddam was a bad person and killed
many but he did not support terrorism because he knew it would be more
difficult to control Iraq if they got power. This is proven by the current
Iraq civil war where the Iraqi government is weak and factions see a chance
for control.
No one knows how many Saddam killed during his reign it
was certainly more than a million people. And when he attacked Iran, both
sides lost big time, millions all together. The thing is this; we supported
Saddam in his war against Iran by giving him weapons such as nerve agents
which he used against Iranians and his own people. Iranians have never
forgotten our support for Saddam; it is no wonder they are now so active in
promoting terrorism in Iraq.
War supporters conveniently forget we supported a very
bad man they now call a terrorist. Wonder why? It is because they would have
to say Reagan and Bush Sr. supported terrorism and by their logic were
terrorists. And let’s not forget how Reagan-Bush directly supported bin
Laden during Afghanistan’s war with the Soviet Union. Being a terrorist or a
terrorist ally depends on circumstances.
The reasons for the Iraq War have changed. First it was
WMDs, then it was to fight them there instead of here and now to bring
democracy to Iraq. There was no war focus then or now. Unfortunately, the Iraq
War is now a catalyst for terrorism and it emboldens terrorist groups
worldwide.
Now we really have a fight on our hands.
If the Iraq War is so important as its supporters say,
then we must gear up for a “real war”, an all out war with hundreds of
thousands of drafted soldiers with enough armor and training. This is unlikely
because the Administration, after four years is still unable to properly
equip, train and care for our troops. It is clearly unwilling to
make this a war “like WWII” where we are "in it to win". Bush and his fellow
Iraq War depots have never seen fit to make this a “real war” and their lack
of support for our troops and America is appalling and criminal.
Because of this, we must leave Iraq now. They have made
it an un-winnable war.
War supporters usually minimize the costs of the war in
lives and dollars by comparing it with previous conflicts. It is all a sham
to support their weak rationalizations. They won’t admit the war has cost
450 billion so far, not counting the medical costs to support an
unprecedented number of wounded. All this money and suffering for so little
progress because they are afraid of a real war. Cowards!
Conservatives and “Christians” want to “keep up the
fight“ and think it is valid and defensible and will unflinchingly lie to you to
convince you it is. Do not be deceived. Their rationalizations are
indefensible and they know it. That is why they throw out false figures,
minimize troop and civilian losses and point fingers at anti-war Americans
and imply cowardice. All they have now are hollow words because the
realities of the war are becoming clearer.
The bottom line in all this is that Americans must deal
with terrorism in all its forms whether it is political, Islamic or
Christian. Americans must also deal with a group of war mongering despots
who engender fear wherever they go to support and to deflect blame for the
loss of life and blood of our soldiers. They know they have blood on their
hands.
Americans must say “enough” and actively support the
United States Constitution and bring it back to American life. The
barbarians are at our gate and many of them are us and call themselves
conservatives and Christians. They have started an illegal war in Iraq, have
diluted our constitutional rights and spent our money with little
accountability except to make certain big corporations profit.
We must stop those anti-American forces now.
The options in America are limited to first ending the
war in Iraq and then destroying the depots here in America. We can never
accept surrender of our democracy to any group such as them. We cannot delay
this fight, we must start it now or our children and grandchildren will live
in an America where citizens no longer have any constitutional rights
much like Iran and Saudi Arabia.
We must not be pacifist in our crusade to bring democracy
back to America. The depots in power are counting on Americans to be
paralyzed with fear. Let’s not be afraid to first confront our enemies
within America.
Americans who support the War in Iraq support terrorists
and anti-American forces in the United States and around the world. They are
either actively or unwittingly trying to destroy our democracy.
To paraphrase, “Give us Liberty or Give Us Death”. Let’s
make them afraid for a change and take back our country. It is our
duty and Constitutional right.
