Bush Bullshit about Iraq is Killing our Soldiers

America is in a political quagmire. Because of Bush and his illegal Iraq War, the Democrats won last fall's elections.  The Congress and the country are certainly better off and unfortunately Bush doesn’t understand his role in this failure and now he is slinging the turds left and right because he won’t get way on the Iraq funding.

Now, he blames Democrats claiming they are responsible for longer tours and more troops for the "surge". His reasoning is that debate about funding is wrong and his angry they will not rubber stamp his blank war check like Republicans have done since the war began.

Bush says he will veto the funding bill and by doing that will create a crisis he started. He wants no compromise; he encourages divisiveness using fear politics to get his way.

Funding for troops is his mantra and he hopes Democrats will be seen as obstructionist and as not supporting the troops. Bush’s bull about funding for a doomed to fail troop surge is just that, bullshit because funding for troops is pretty much guaranteed to June 2007. So, how is it that the funding debate hurts the troops now?

It does not. A Constitutional democracy relies on debate not partisan politics. Bush does not understand Democracy.

Bush is to blame for increased troop rotations, less training for troops, the lack of body amour, poor health care and the general decimation of our Army and National Guard which now have few  resources to draw from such as adequate equipment.

This is Bush’s fault and no one else’s.

Plus, by again linking Saddam to 9/11 and Al Qaeda, he restarts his fear mongering and implies Americans will belive his bullshit.  It is Bush who is full of it and most Americans know this, including our troops.

The Iraq War is a failure and the troop surge has not made things better. If he wants to win the war, he needs to reinstitute the draft and put the economy on a war footing where the equipment will be available for our soldiers.

Otherwise, Bush must stop the lies and the bullshit. Lives are being lost while Bush fiddles and Iraq burns.
