Republican Democrats
February 11, 2006
In
2000, many sincerely believed Bush and his associates were actually "spend
then tax" Republicans similar to Democrats who openly support big spending
and massive government. People with this view were dismissed as nuts but
not now!
Many
traditional Republicans who thought their party was for smaller government,
less spending and state's rights have been surprised at the direction their
party has taken since 2000. They are realizing the predicament they are in
and cannot believe government deficits are so high and the government so big.
Now, people rarely speak about state's rights. To make things worse, they
used to slam Democrats for big government spending and they have to
now admit they have unquestionably done the same, but even more so.
Genuine Republicans, few in number in 2006, are sorely disappointed and
realize their party actually represents liberalism and bigger government
with backbreaking deficits. They must now see their party very much like
the Democratic Party and it might as well be.
It
must politically suck to be Republican Democrats. Who would have thought
this could happen?
After all, there are just so many times you can claim deficits and big
government are good and say it with conviction. And they know Bush
will continue to lie about everything as he has done about Iraq, terrorism,
domestic spying, CIA leaks and his associations with lobbyist
criminals. Bush's dishonest politics will cast a very dark shadow on them
and to add to their nightmares, Bush will lie some more, instead of shutting
up already.
Things
are so bad, that reasonable voters might think Bush is actually a Democrat
in Christian-Republican clothing. They would be right about that!
There
will be many sleepless nights in D.C.
Republicans up for re-election and those who genuinely support traditional
Republican values are worried. They see through Bush's bullshit but they
don't know what to do. They have good reason to be worried about their
party and political careers. They might be looking at national and
state politics from the outside and angry that Democrats have made gains
they wanted to keep.
Too
bad.
Their
two faced political swaggering these past five years has been seriously
dishonest and now they must "pay the price". Years ago, they hooked their
political wagons to a liberal spend then tax candidate named George Bush.
This was fine when they were winning but now they are poised to fail.
The
state of affairs within the Republican Party are so pitiful that the only
consistently positive comment Republican voters have about Bush in 2006 is
that he is "strong on terrorism". Yet, Republican politicians know deep
down, that Bush linking Iraq with terrorism makes for another weak
argument. They know most Americans think Bush is wrong in the way he is
handling the Iraq War and linking it with the War on Terrorist will fail to
win them votes.
Republicans who do not understand this predicament are not genuine
Republicans but Republican Democrats, people who are really liberal and want
big government at the expense of taxpayer wealth. It serves them right
to loose and
they deserve what they get ... a Democratic Party win this fall.
Should
there be a political stalemate, it would be all the same, more spending,
bigger government, fewer civil rights and more terrorism and war.
Unfortunately, Americans loose again which means it is time for another
American Revolution, this time against the current government of the United
States of America controlled by the Republican Democrats. Let's start with
the ballot this fall.
