Jefferson is Outrageous

Today, Representative William Jefferson of Louisiana was accused of taking a bribe of $100,000 in marked $100 dollar bills. The FBI video taped the July 2005 transaction which showed him taking the money. Jefferson refused to talk about the widespread allegation, except to say the FBI's search of his offices was “an outrageous intrusion” and that there were two sides of every story.  http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2006-05-22-jefferson-probe_x.htm?csp=34

To make things worse for Jefferson, and good for America, is that there are two people who have direct knowledge of his “side business” from his Washington, D.C. office. Undoubtedly they have talked and are helping authorities prove its case against him.

Mr. Jefferson, your "alleged" criminal actions are outrageous. The FBI searched your offices because, for the past eight months, you ignored their requests for information. Justice had to be served ... upon you. Maybe they will serve others on The Hill.

Who in the hell are you to take bribe money? Or any money, other than your bloated salary?  

You swore to serve America and not yourself. It is poli-scum like you that make Americans say, “Well, there they go again… out for themselves and to hell with us”.

It would be best for you to resign and take your fight to the courts. A sincere apology would be a good thing too. But, you won't do any of that because you are political sociopath who will first try to divert attention from yourself and then blame others.

Your behavior is pathetic and outrageous!

You know you can’t get out of this mess and for once, please do the right thing and get out of Washington, D.C. Make way for an honest person.
