Boogeyman Bin Laden

On January 19, 2006, an audio tape allegedly from Bin Laden was aired nationwide. On the tape, a man warns America that he is planning more attacks but offers a war truce. The CIA rapidly authenticated the voice on the tape implying Bin Laden is alive.

Yeah, right! This is the same CIA that said Iraq had WMDs and the same one that can’t catch Bin Laden after four years of "trying".

Bin Laden has is like an Iraqi WMD – non-existent and fictional. That is not a problem because a dead Bin laden is still useful as a boogeyman for the Administration. It keeps everyone keyed up, anxious and distracted from political realities. What a pathetic way to manage a country.

Whenever Bush needs a political shield a Bin Laden tape surfaces. It is too coincidental. Either Bin Laden works directly for the Administration or Bush-Rove are using his voice for political purposes. Both are bad.

Bin Laden could not have expected, in his wildest dreams that the United States would descend into chaos and political criminality by taking advantage of his attacks. He would have been overjoyed that, in four years, Americans now have less civil rights, massive crippling debt, and a mega-corrupt federal government.
