Attack on Our Freedoms
by Enemies from Within
September 12, 2006
Bush, Cheney and the Republican Party disdain democracy.
They hate Americans for the freedoms we think we should still have before
they took control. They especially hate those who want to keep our democracy
constitutional.
Since 2001, they have been working to dilute freedoms
guaranteed by the Constitution, first by excluding everyone who did not
support them, them passing laws to circumvent the Constitution and finally
hyping and politicizing the “War on Terror”. Incredibly they even link the
911 tragedy with the Iraq War.
Republicans now believe Americans should no longer have freedom of speech
to criticize them, nor are we allowed to dissent by pointing out and
countering Bush lies or even asking him to tell the truth. Publishing
articles negative to the Administration is regularly attacked as un-American
with many claiming such criticism is treason.
The Alice in Wonderland America of 2006 is where democracy is un-American
because we have a "war to fight".
The evil of this is rarely noticed by the typical
American who is just trying to keep a job to pay bills. No one notices.
Republicans count on this to work their plan for control.
We now have an America that lives in fear with millions of Americans
believing Bush lies and willing to give up their rights to be safe as
defined by Bush and his confederates.
It is time for Americans to understand that this is OUR country and OUR
democracy. The United States does not belong to a political party or to any
White House administration. It also does not belong to any special interest
group, corporation or illegal alien.
Let's stop being afraid of only external enemies and start to recognize
there are enemies in the United States who are every bit as terrible and
demonic as bin Laden. If we cannot do this, we will loose the fight and bin
Laden will definitely win.
It makes one believe Bush and the Republicans are allies
with bin Laden. After all, they speak the same language, use the same fear
tactics and both “hate us for our freedoms”.
