What We Need in Bush's Inaugural
Address
January 18, 2005
Bush says he is ready for his inaugural address and said he will wants to
inspire America. That's nice, real nice. What we need in his inaugural
address is:
❑ A promise to stop lying. How about THAT
as a moral value.
❑ A plan to leave Iraq and stop the killing. Another moral
value.
❑ An admission he has made mistakes in office. Proving he is a
human being and not a god.
❑ Admit other religions other than his, deserve respect.
❑ A promise to follow the words of his Lord, Jesus everyday.
❑ A promise to revamp the Patriot Act to reestablish the Bill
of Rights which are a foundation of our freedoms.
❑ Withdraw Alberto R. Gonzales' nomination for Attorney
General, a man who approved torture, called Geneva Conventions quaint and
then blamed his predicament on Cheney.
❑ Admit he let bin Laden slip away in December 2001 and will
correct this immediately.
❑ Resolve that fighting the "War on Terrorism" must include
credible actions to protect our borders at home.
❑ Admit his plan to legalize millions of illegal aliens,
mostly Mexicans is a bad idea.
❑ Admit his tax cuts mainly helped the rich and he will take
steps to make this right with the hard working average citizen.
❑ Admit he has spent "like a drunken sailor" these past four
years and will become fiscally responsible.
❑ A promise to stop meddling in science and allow debate on
important issues such as global warming, stem cell, environmental
concerns, etc.
❑ A promise not to use the Book of Revelations as a
blueprint for U.S. actions.
Bush needs to speak of details and promises about what he
can do for our country and not what he can do for his rich friends and
political supporters.
