Bush Doesn't Care
August 23, 2005
On August 23rd, Bush said anti-war activities
weaken the US and went on to declare that most military families support the
war. What Bush and company fail to grasp is that Bush's insistence on
shedding blood in Iraq in the first place, weakened the U.S.
Our military is now so dispersed that a legitimate
military threat could only be answered by a weak response. Plus, Bush has
failed to significantly increase the number of armed services since 2001.
The token amount in late 2004 was not enough to keep our military strong,
especially in time of war.
He doesn't care.
The Iraq war has weakened the US economically, costing at
least 300 billion dollars, which could have been spent on a stronger
military and a healthier population. The debt of the Iraq War has weakened
the nation to the brink of economic collapse when coupled with the trillions
in debt he and the Republicans added to the bottom line all the while
professing to fiscally responsible.
He doesn't care.
His unilateral action Iraq weakened us diplomatically
through out the world. Certainly many countries have ideologies different
from us, even threaten us, but diplomacy is a time tested method to settle
affairs between disparate groups. It also works to ensure our place in the
world economy. “Diplomacy before guns” should have been the policy, but
Bush's planning for a war in Iraq starting in early 2001 shows that
diplomacy was not a concern.
He doesn't care.
Bush claims every life is precious, then why start a war
in Iraq? Why lie about the reason for war to start one? Why allow Republican
operatives to slime anti-war protesters when it is their right, even their
obligation to protest and criticize. The real Americans here are those who
question, probe and criticize and not those who blindly follow an Immoral
leader.
Deep down in his un-Christian heart, Bush doesn't care.
He only cares about power and money for himself and his close allies.
