Why It Doesn't Matter to
Bush and His Supporters
November 13, 2004
Bush and his supporters in Congress have
increased the debt from about 3 trillion to 7.5 trillion dollars in the past
four years. This is an enormous and historical increase.
Rationalizing by saying the debt is a
“small percentage of the economy” is old rhetoric and wrong. Saying the
economy will "grow us out of the debt" is silly and has never happened. They
are lame excuses to cover the truth of more government.
When Bush was running in 2000, he
criticized the national debt and the way the Federal Government spent money.
He was right then. Now he believes adding a few trillion dollars to the debt
is no big deal. What happened?
First of all he and friends in Congress use
the debt to get elected. They cater to their political power base which it
isn’t you and me unless you are wealthy or run a big company.
Secondly and fundamentally the decision to
spend is based on the Second Coming.
You see, to those who believe Jesus is
almost ready to come to earth to save us, it doesn't matter there is debt.
Jesus will make it right.
It is okay to steal from the middle class
and give it to the rich because Jesus will make it all right.
Using this logic further:
It is okay make war in Iraq on false
premises because Jesus will “end it all” and soon.
So this means it is okay to spend hundreds
of billions on the war, cause tens of thousands of deaths overall because
Jesus will make it right. Besides most of 'them" will be sent to hell when
He returns. Non-Christians, you know.
It means it is okay to lie, cheat and
steal, because Jesus is coming.
What next with Bush and his supporters?
Will there be a “Jesus made me do it!" excuse when the world crashes and He
doesn’t return in YOUR life time?
Bush et al, do not realize the depths of
their depravity, criminality and anti-Christian principles. What they are
doing is adding a heavy debt to their souls.
They do not understand they are part of the
problem and part of the evil Jesus is coming to sweep away. When He returns
He will not accept excuses and rationalizations from anyone let alone people
who call themselves “Christians” in 2004.
