The
White House is Conflicted about the F-word
July 18, 2004
In December 2003, John Kerry gave an
interview for the Rolling Stone magazine and in that interview said that
Bush had “fucked up” in Iraq. The languages was:
When I voted for the war, I
voted for what I thought was best for the country. Did I expect Howard Dean
to go off to the left and say, 'I'm against everything?' Sure. Did I expect
George Bush to fuck it up as badly as he did? I don't think anybody
did."
The reaction by Bush’s Chief of Staff
was righteous indignation who told CNN. "I'm very disappointed that he would
use that kind of language. I'm hoping that he's apologizing at least to
himself."
Oh really?
In June 2004 Cheney after being annoyed
about being called on his current links to Halliburton, their contracts, and
his war profiteering, turned to Senator Pat Leahy and said “Go fuck
yourself.” or possibly Fuck off”. No one is sure.
Bush and company seem conflicted over
the word. It certainly is a good, short and effective one that gets
attention but when that attention is directed at them, they are annoyed. Too
bad.
You can’t criticize John Kerry for using
it when you use it yourself Wait, you can but that would show your
stupidity and hypocrisy. It also shows contempt for those asking questions
about their criminal behavior.
The word shouldn’t come from a White
House promising to
return honor and dignity to the White House during the 2000 campaign.
By the way Mr. Cheney, it is wrong to
profit from the Iraq War using your Halliburton connections so, Go Fuck
Yourself.
"I expressed myself rather forcefully, felt better after I had done it,"
Cheney told Neil Cavuto of Fox News.
