John Kerry’s SUV
April 23, 2004
John Kerry was recently asked
whether he owned an SUV. At first, he said he didn’t own one but remembered
an SUV that “belongs to the family”. The evil SUV in question is a Chevy
Suburban used by Kerry and family in Ketcham, Idaho.
His answer was a pitiful stumble. It
shows his guilt for owning a gas guzzling vehicle while asking for
improvements in gas mileage for all cars.
Guess it doesn’t look good for
“Kerry the Candidate” to own an SUV. Never mind all the vehicles on Dubya’s
Crawford Ranch in Texas. But then again, Dubya has never asked for better
mileage for any car because it goes against his big oil principles.
Kerry’s response shows what a
political weenie he is.
He should have said, “Yeah, we own
an SUV and I still want cars to have better gas mileage because it
would help us reduce our dependence on foreign oil.”
No shame. No guilt. Straightforward
talk.
The real issue here isn’t the SUV
but how he answered the question about the SUV. It shows a weak and inept
politician. Not a good thing for someone fighting a formidable political
foe.
