Is
Rush Still on Drugs or is he Just Evil?
May

On May 4, 2004 during
his radio show, Rush Limbaugh said the abuse of our Iraqi prisoners was
simply a guard's “need to blow some steam off." He also said the
guards were having a good time like a college students would do in a prank.
This is a transcript
of part of his show on May 4, 2004:
"CALLER: It was like a college fraternity prank that stacked up naked men --
LIMBAUGH: Exactly. Exactly my point! This is no different than what happens
at the Skull and Bones initiation and we're going to ruin people's lives
over it and we're going to hamper our military effort, and then we are going
to really hammer them because they had a good time. You know, these people
are being fired at every day. I'm talking about people having a good time,
these people, you ever heard of emotional release? You of heard of need to
blow some steam off?"
Limbaugh thinks
torture of other human beings while in custody is just a prank and not a big
deal. He condones the abuse by minimizing it.
Some of the prisoner abuse
alleged at the prison included
Beating prisoners with broom handles and a chair,
Slapping, kicking and hitting prisoners,
Stripping and humiliating
prisoners,
Sodomizing prisoners with chem-lights and broom sticks,
Using
dogs to threaten and attack prisoners,
Photographing prisoners in sexual positions, and
Forcing prisoners to masturbate each other.
Abuse of people while
in custody is a violation of law and human rights. It is wrong. The prisoner
abuse in Iraq helped our enemies. Rush doesn't understand this and he
doesn’t know right from wrong.
Maybe one day Rush will go to prison on
his drug related charges and find out first hand, about pranks and steam
letting by his guards. At least while in prison, Rush won't be
helping the enemy and hampering our military efforts in Iraq.
