GW Bush Represents What is
Wrong with Christianity
February 20, 2004
G.W. Bush claims he has
found God and it has made him a better man. Just words from the mouth of a
liar.
The un-Christian things
about Bush:
He wraps himself up in
righteousness, claiming salvation to avoid legitimate questions about his
current and past actions. He uses the Christian shield during political
campaigns for self interest.
He had many reasons to start
the Iraq War and emphasized several of them but none were true. He lied and
refuses to admit his error. He is even proud of his war, but has no reason
to be. He is a liar and boastful.
He started a war costing
hundreds of American and thousands of innocent Iraqi lives. He has no shame.
Innocent blood has stained his hands.
He rolled back environmental
laws to benefit corporations and not future generations. He is indifferent
to human needs.
He has given tax cuts to
most everyone but much more to the rich claiming this will help everyone.
The results have been a jobless recovery. His god is money.
He lies about his military
service, evades questions and refuses to discuss accusations. He acts like
national service is something to be ashamed of but really, his military
record is something to be ashamed of. Lying is shameful.
He lied about getting drunk
and driving. He broke the law and lied about it.
In 1992, six years after he
made his pledge to stop drinking, Bush was caught on a wedding video and
appeared to be drunk. He broke his promise to God to act Christian-like.
Bush is lazy. He has
taken more vacation days than any other President. He does not work on
weekends and boasts of his afternoon naps. But he has boundless energy to
raise money for his campaigns and his Republican party. His work ethic
defines what he feels is most important… money. He is slothful. His god is
money.
He refuses to admit he was
wrong about WMDs. Because of this, real reform within the intelligence
community will be impossible since reform starts from the top. He has
failed to lead. He is a bad example.
He says he supports free
speech but several anti war protesters were arrested recently for protesting
his policies. The trumped up charges were eventually rescinded. He is a
hypocrite.
Christians are to ask for
forgiveness, accept Jesus as the way to salvation and from then on do as
would Jesus would want. He says his inspiration is Jesus but does not act
like Him.
He admits membership in the
Skull and Bones Society an anti-Christian group. He willingly follows pagan
beliefs and rituals. He even refused to talk about this recently when asked
about his membership during an interview. He is not following God as
required.
Bush's life is defined by
his actions, then and now. He continues to avoid his past and present.
He has accepted Christ in name only. He is not a Christian.
Bush supporters have been
duped into believing he is something special. He is simply another
anti-Christ figure leading people astray. He gathers those who worship money
and covet political power.
This is what is wrong
with Christianity today and why G.W. Bush is now its leader.
