Let's Get On With It!
March 14, 2003
It has been about six months since the UN adopted its resolution, giving
Iraq, "One last chance". It is obvious the resolution is not worth the paper
it is written on.
The "Iraqi Axis", France, Belgium, Germany, China and Russia will not follow
this or any resolution that interferes with their economic and politic aims.
Time is short. The days are getting longer and hotter with dust storms that
can easily cripple men and their machines.
Our readiness is at its peak, our soldiers are now being worn down by the
deteriorating conditions. This is not fair to them. Sure, generals will say
they can be just as effective 30 days from now as they are today. They have
to say that, that is what the President wants to hear.
I don't believe it. Many others don't either. It doesn't make sense.
Now Saddam is moving his troops and weapons around, getting ready. Who
wouldn't blame him? It isn't a surprise.
It appears there will be a war. The question is when.
Now is the time to OUR troops and weapons, down the road to Baghdad. Let's
get on with this dirty and lethal business.
