France's Treachery and Betrayal Exposed
April 29, 2003Once American troops had a firm grasp
on Iraq, they started to search for documents detailing who, what, when, and
where of the Hussein regime. They found a lot of paper and some of it
shows how far Iraq went to secure allies for itself.
Before the war, many believed some of our "allies" had much to fear from the
records searches we are now conducting. They were right. Especially
about France.
Recent news reports showed the Iraqi secret service working with their
"friends" in France. Friends who gave them information about American
planning, diplomatic strategies, and alliances even information about
meetings Bush had with Chirac.
Reports also indicate the Iraqis paid their French friends hundreds of
thousands of dollars.
France not only vehemently and publicly opposed United States efforts for
Iraqi liberation, it also conspired, in secret, with Saddam Hussein's regime
to work against the Coalition. The "bottom-line" is: France and Iraq
conspired to defeat the Coalition and kill American soldiers.
This is treachery. And this, by a country that calls itself an ally. It is
not an ally and never again, should the United States trust France. Never!
Our relationship with France must change.
All future dealings with such a duplicitous country must be at a lower level
diplomatically. This can start by a recall of our French ambassador. A
symbolic but important step.
Then, when the ambassador returns to Paris, he must tell the French
authorities all about the new United States position. The position of
treating France like an enemy, which it is.
