Christian Conspiracy of Exclusion and Hate

August 7, 2003

There is no clear way to define the new Christian agenda however, glimpses are possible in the words of their leaders and adherents. These people want a society based strictly on the bible and their definition of Christianity. The result will be an intolerant society quick to rid itself of anyone and anything they don't like.

Read some of their language and ask, "When will they come for me?".

"I want you to just let a wave of intolerance wash over you. I want you to let a wave of hatred wash over you. Yes, hate is good.... Our goal is a Christian nation. We have a Biblical duty, we are called by God, to conquer this country. We don't want equal time. We don't want pluralism."
-- Randall Terry, quoted in The News-Sentinel, Fort Wayne, Indiana, August 16, 1993

"It's like guerrilla warfare. If you reveal your location, all it does is allow your opponent to improve his artillery bearings. It's better to move quietly, with stealth, under cover of night. You've got two choices: You can wear cammies and shimmy along on your belly, or you can put on a red coat and stand up for everyone to see. It comes down to whether you want to be the British army in the Revolutionary War or the Viet Cong. History tells us which tactic was more effective."
-- Ralph Reed, Los Angeles Times, March 22, 1992, admitting his deception to hide his true aims.

"The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism, and become lesbians."
-- Pat Robertson, in a 1992 fundraising letter

"We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity. We weren't punctilious about locating and punishing only Hitler and his top officers. We carpet-bombed German cities; we killed civilians. That's war. And this is war."
--Ann Coulter, "This is War" column, Sept. 13, 2001, reacting to the 9/11 attacks.

"State Universities are breeding grounds, quite literally, for sexually transmitted diseases (including HIV), homosexual behavior, unwanted pregnancies, abortions, alcoholism, and drug abuse."
Dr. James Dobson     http://www.family.org/docstudy/solid/a0006261.html

"The 'wall of separation between church and state' is a metaphor based on bad history, a metaphor which has proved useless as a guide to judging. It should be frankly and explicitly abandoned."
-- William Rehnquist, Dissenting Opinion in Wallace v. Jaffree (1985)

"We're going to bring back God and the Bible and drive the gods of secular humanism right out of the public schools of America."
-- Pat Buchanan, campaign address at an anti-gay rally in Des Moines, Iowa, February 11, 1996

"A civil war is brewing in which we must deal with the Jews. It is a time of reckoning for their pact with the devil."
--Robert G. Millar (1925-2001)     http://www.adl.org/learn/Ext_US/Elohim.asp

"Nobody has the right to worship on this planet any other God than Jehovah. And therefore the state does not have the responsibility to defend anybody's pseudo-right to worship an idol."
--Rev. Joseph Morecraft of the Chalcedon Presbyterian Church, Marietta, Georgia, June 1994

"We are approaching a time when Christians, especially, may have to declare the social contract between Enlightenment rationalists and Biblical believers - which formed the basis of the constitution written at our nation's founding - null and void."
--Cal Thomas, conservative commentator; Washington Times, October 23, 1996

"The long-term goal of Christians in politics should be to gain exclusive control over the franchise. Those who refuse to submit publicly to the eternal sanctions of God by submitting to His Church's public marks of the covenant--baptism and holy communion--must be denied citizenship, just as they were in ancient Israel."
-- Gary North - Political Polytheism: The Myth of Pluralism, Tyler, TX: Institute for Christian Economics, 1989, p. 87

"With all due respect to those dear people, my friend, God Almighty does not hear the prayer of a Jew."
--Bailey Smith, a founder of the Christian Coalition, speaking to about 15,000 people at a Religious Roundtable briefing, Dallas, June 26, 1994

"...Christian values should dominate our government. The test of those values is the Bible. Politicians who do not use the Bible to guide their public and private lives do not belong in office. "
--Beverly LaHaye  http://loudoun.net/mainstream/quotes.htm

"The [Supreme} Court by seeking to equate Christianity with other religions merely assaults the one faith. The Court in essence is assailing the true God by democratizing the Christian religion."
John Whitehead, founder & president of the Rutherford Institute, "The Separation Illusion"
