Bush Lying about Weapons
of Mass Destruction In Iraq?

Let's not forget that Bush used WMDs as
a reason to launch a preemptive war against Iraq.
The argument did not sit well with the United Nations and others. They
didn't believe there were any, or at least, they could not find them after
looking.
With a couple months into the search for WMDs, the administration is saying
that Saddam might have destroyed the weapons before the war started, he
might have buried them in areas not yet searched or he might have moved them
out of the country.
Could be. We don't know. They don't know.
It doesn't help that Bush is still insisting they will be found while his
defense secretary and senior military officials are saying they might have
been destroyed before the war started.
Bush's political enemies will make this a campaign issue in the next
presidential election. They will say he started a war using a lie and this
lead to the deaths of many Americans, and thousands of Iraqi civilians. They
will surely compare this lie with the lies of Clinton about his mistress.
Most believe Saddam had WMDs at one time. So, we must focus on finding out
what happened to them. Were they destroyed, hidden, relocated, sold to
terrorist groups? Until we do, we will never be safe, anywhere, any
place.
Bush has a problem. He relied on the WMDs threat as a pretext to war with
Iraq. This will cost him politically at home and abroad. He must be held
accountable for the things he said and did in this regard. No blaming
advisors or government agencies. The "buck stops" at his desk. He has
some explaining to do.
Bush seems to be a WMD,
politically speaking of course.
