AT&T in Nevada - Must Improve

April 30, 2003

AT&T and other wireless providers are providing additional services such as pictures on the phone, new phones. different plans etc.

As a loyal customer of AT&T for a number of years, I find it incredible that AT&T would try to sell me additional services when the service they provide is spotty at best. I have to go out side of my house to send or receive a call on my cell phone.

I have called AT&T customer service about this. I was told there would be no upgrades of basic wireless service in my areas in the foreseeable future and to change carriers if I didn't like it.

Well, should I change carriers as their employee suggests?
Should I, as a customer accept this kind of customer service from AT&T?
Why does AT&T customer service set up an adversarial relationship with its customers?

I talked to AT&T employees on the phone and at their store in Carson City. I was treated rudely by both women and I didn't like it.

Time for a change. I expect AT&T to shape up.
